One of the great treats about living in DC is the quick (and free) access to artifacts and documents. Probably the top of the list is this one: the U.S. Constitution. They even let you photograph it (no flash). This shot was taken yesterday. One of the interesting things I learned yesterday: the first drafts of the constitution listed all of the states, saying "we the people of the states of Virginia, Maryland, etc." Later drafts changed it to "We the people of the United States," A subtle but important change.
