Twice I took the opportunity to explore the Mohawk river valley (the Mohawk dumps into the Hudson at Albany). What is so striking about this river is how peaceful it is, in spite of its size. I could feel the ghosts of the Mohawk indians and the Dutch and English settlers who once lived there.]]></description>
