Yesterday was R's birthday. So, we took the afternoon and hit a local museum. After an uncomfortable run-in with one of the docents, we moved on to the modern art section and spotted this gem by Sol LeWitt. Happy B-day Robin! (iPhone 3gs)

In case you're wondering why Pixelshot has been dormant for the last week or two, here's a photo that will tell the story a bit. I've been on the road to several places, one of which was a day trip to NYC yesterday to record an interview for a documentary project. I took the Bolt bus, which was great. For these three guys, it was even better. Anyway, I'm back in the saddle now. (camera: iPhone)

POD – Inner-city Progress

A couple of weeks ago, this new fountain started flowing. It's roughly in our neighborhood, near where we go to church. Not a huge deal, except that, if you notice, it's run on solar power (note the towers behind the fountain). Very cool. (iPhone)

POD – Paper Stone Counter

This beautiful black counter is made from recycled paper. We spotted it in the Milwakee-Wisconsin Solar Decathlon house here in DC. Also, the wooden cutting board slides back and forth. Good, practical ideas that are good for the environment. Very nice. (iPhone)

In honor of today's financial news that the DOW climbed over 10,000 for the first time in a year, here's a photo I took with the iPhone a couple of days ago. The marking on the glass door reads "10,000" - the address. (iPhone 3Gs)
