Once in a while I happen upon a photographic accident that makes me look like a real photographer. This weekend was a birthday weekend, one of the best in memory. And, as if the luck gods were smiling down on me, I took this photo. The sheer luck that my shutter would be open at the exact same split second as this photographer to the left is mind boggling. (Canon 5D mark II; 1/40 sec @ f/4.5; ISO 6400)

I can honestly say, today, that Jay (pictured above as an adult ugly duckling) is by far my favorite brother. He's definitely the best looking brother I have as well. Oh, and by far, the smartest and funniest. So, I can in good conscience say "happy birthday!" without hesitation.
